Recourse to the economy

Since 2009 and his "Essay on the Economy", Pierre Calame has never ceased to assert that the effective reduction of greenhouse gas emissions involves the degressive allocation of carbon quotas for each citizen. His "little treaty of economics" is to be loaded here. It is very well described on page 126 and following.

It is also interesting to subscribe to his blog. The economy is the big comeback!

Pierre Calame has already set up representative assemblies of citizens drawn by lot (since 2000) and strongly supports the French initiative of the Citizen's Convention for the Climate, which made him react ... He produced a text that serves as a support for our movement (you can download the entire here ):

"The allocation, to all, of negotiable quotas to lead the energy transition: an obvious solution, faced with an almost universal denial."
Founding text
These options are further reinforced by the release in June 2020 of his great work "Metamorphoses of responsibility and social contract" at the editions ECLM, prefaced by Mireille Delmas-Marty.

To complete, Edgar Morin delivers on June 25 its "Change of way"where he reminds us to combine the prosaic with the poetic for a real politics of the Earth.

We believe with Pierre Calame that the best dimension of the carbon account would be at the level of the European Union, which is why he is writing a letter to this effect to MEPs, to download here.
